Why Do The Rams Have Cooper Kupp Returning Punts?
“Arguably” the best WR in the league right now, and he’s returning punts in a blowout game against the crap Jags like he’s some undrafted drone trying to make the team?

I don’t get that, and not the first week I’ve seen that happening.

    Just a drunk observation…..

#2 WR Woods is on IR, #3 WR D. Jackson wanted out, replacement #3 WR Beckham is playing hurt, #5 WR Atwell is on IR, #6 WR Skowrenek is playing hurt, #7 WR T. Jackson choose to go to the Vikings, and #8 WR Akers fumbled on returns last week. It's Kupp, Jefferson, or a DB on PR duty. RB situation is even worse.

So, isn’t that even more of a reason to save your WR stud? Rams have plenty of garbage whatever’s to return punts when they’re up by 30 in the 4th quarter - once again, drunk observation…..

Dumb move having Kupp return punts. He's their best receiver ands leads the NFL in touchdowns.

The Vikings did the same thing with Randy Moss back in the day. Moss got hurt returning a punt and missed 5 games.

Antonio Brown used to return punts for the Steelers at the time when he was probably the best WR in the league.

What's a punt return??? Only see maybe 5 total between all the games a week, anyway, just have a competent WR to waive his hand at this point.

Hes there mostly for his hands, I doubt he'd run it back with the game a blowout

But, they don’t, and now you have the best WR in the league fighting for an extra 5 yards against the grain? Why even have him in there? Put in your ‘hands’ guy trying to get into the starting lineup - and if he FU##S UP or gets injured on that high-risk play, then it’s next man up. Still don’t understand why so many teams do this.

I’m a Rams fan, and watch every game - believe me, Cooper Kupp is returning $#!T in a blowout game. He did it today!

If you dont have another WR that can catch punts then Jesus that's sad, not asking a lineman to go catch a punt you're asking a WR there job is to catch a ball. I agree with you I would have someone else in that position not a top 5WR in the league with average speed at best back there.

I agree. It's just not worth the risk putting your top wide receiver in that position. Imo.

Woods is out, OBJ is new, Cooper Kupp is ‘arguably’ the best WR in the league - and you have him returning punts in a blowout. Just thought Sean McVay was a better coach than that…..

Maybe he has contract incentives in his contract to return punts.

                                    But it’s 30-7 or whatever.
Put in the scrub, not the #1 WR in the whole GaoDDAMN LEAGUE that you’re gonna need for the playoffs…..
