On Friday coach Mark Turgeon and the Terps parted ways. I think this will be a good and much needed move. For many years Turgeon main focus was on defense and as a part of this focus was to take air out of the ball. This team would pass around the ball a lot and would take 15-20 seconds to take a shot. When they did take a shot they were very tentative and looked uneasy,sort of afraid to miss. This team does have talent and many good shooters. Center Wahab has been under utilized in a big way because of the focus on defense. I could go on and on here...but to the point. New coach Danny Manning can't change this team in just two days. But one thing I know for sure is that he is not going the tell his players to step it up on defense. He will get these shooters going ! And will not focus on eating clock. As a result they will have more possessions per game and so will their opponents will have more also.Not sure the books or public can adjust upward in the total just yet..................................... ........................................ .........Maryland / Northwestern OVER 137...3 UNITS.............gl
