They got hosed last night. That flag that got picked up for unsportsmanlike that should of extended a drive was one thing. That PI that didn’t get called in the end zone with about 20 seconds left was criminal. Absolutely criminal. Rumors from the athletic dept personnel at OU are that Riley was upset about the upcoming SEC move. He was very against it.
He knows OU dominance will not be similar to what he's had in the Big 12 and that lead him to consider opportunities from other major programs should they arise. I guess an opportunity showed up.
OU will likely be an also-ran in the SEC, similar to Texas A&M after their move to the SEC. Sure they'll be competitive with Georgia/Alabama every now and then but, in general, they will end up a 2nd tier SEC team over the long-haul.Comment -
