I disagree it’s just the coach’s philosophy imo. iowa has some speed but the coach favors a pro style offense and is more old school. harbaugh has the talent but plays conservative also.

Nobody is really saying anything and I am happy the game went over. But, Harbaugh could have kneeled on it 3 times and I do not think Iowa would have called a time out. For the backup qb sake / he got to do a little playing. Anybody else think it was running up the score?

Go on YouTube and watch highlights of Stanford v usc 2009 and watch the final score and the "handshake" between harbaugh and pete carroll.

Gus Johnson asked about it, and of course, his partner said "no" because he doesn't want to ever piss anyone off he needs to deal with in the future.

He was running the score up. They were passing deep down the field with 4 minutes left on that last drive, and ran a flea flicker with 7 minutes left inside their own 20. In fairness, Meyer would do the same thing at Ohio State in that situation. He stuck a TD in the end zone in the title game against Oregon when he could have kneeled.

I don't watch enough Alabama games to know what Saban does, although he did stick a late TD against Harbaugh in a bowl game a few years ago.

He scored a late TD to get over 50, then went for 2.
