The only thing that is a bit of an issue is the leagues broadcasters vote for it and Calgary is a smaller market.

It would be insane for a team to go from one of the worst stats wise and miss playoffs to one of the best stats wise and not be at least top 3.

7 shutouts in 21 games has to be given consideration as well.

Right now he should be the clear favorite, everyone said the Flames were a crap lottery team and they are near the top of the league.

Yeah I don't really understand Brindamour or Tippett up there.

Both have great teams that were expected to win their divisions.

The Flames were projected to finish as a below average team. They have exceeded even the most optimistic fans expectations so far.
