#180You can't advance deep in the playoffs without a top 15 player in the NBA. Unless all 5 of your starters are hovering around top 20-25 players. This team doesn't even have 1 top 25 player. They will do nothing, and are a non threat.Originally posted by vitterdIf cavs stay healthy they will be a tough out come playoff time. #181I guess we will see. I think they will be a tough opponent in first round. #183Goat, you are a basketball purist. Have you stopped looking at stats?Originally posted by Goat MilkYou can't advance deep in the playoffs without a top 15 player in the NBA. Jarrett Allen top 10 in Oreb, Dreb, overall rebounds and efficiency. Also Allen is #16 in blocks. Mobley top 6 in blocks. When do you see 2 teammates both in top for blocks? Garland top 10 assists, #7 turnovers. You are looking at 2 All Stars in Allen and Garland and Mobley will be rookie of the year and rookie first team All Star. The Cavs have lost just 2 games with the 3 of them playing.
Apart from Jokic and Embiid, I could make a great case that Allen is the 3rd best center in the league right now. He totally shitted on KA Towns tonight. Please keep it quiet but Darius Garland is quickly making a name for himself as a PG. Most casual basketball people don't even have them on PG lists but the guy is quietly becoming one of the best in the Association?Comment -

#184This team is going to be a hard out for any team in the league not just the East. I think they can compete with the Bucks and Nets right now. They're going to make a run deep into the playoffs IF THEY STAY HEALTHY. This is no play in team. This team is going to surprise a lot of people. I solidly think they will end up no less than 3rd in the East behind Brooklyn and possible Milwaukee. Ideally, they'll overtake the Bucks.Originally posted by vitterdI guess we will see. The East is not nearly as strong as the West. The Nets and Bucks are both solid but it's really wide ass open after that.Comment -

#185I think the sixers are gonna make a move and get Beal. It’s the type of player they really need. I think the Tobias Harris days are over…. I’ve never seen a guy shrink like he does in crunch time.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeThis team is going to be a hard out for any team in the league not just the East. #186The 76ers and Nets both seem very dysfunctional to me, which I think will hurt both of them eventually. Kyrie has to be the most selfish prick on the planet. Simmons not too far behind him.Originally posted by vitterdI think the sixers are gonna make a move and get Beal. It’s the type of player they really need. I think the Tobias Harris days are over…. #187Very true. Ben is a disgrace. Maxey is young but has some talent. It’s the same story with them since they lost Butler. They don’t have a guy that can get his own shot late.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeThe 76ers and Nets both seem very dysfunctional to me, which I think will hurt both of them eventually. #188Not a championship caliber team IMO, just a team that can play great ball at times, play hard and cover the spreads game to game. Better playoff teams will win and beat them on a regular bases especially on the road.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeThey don't have to win a championship to win the bet.
Cavs are no NBA super power in other words. It's all about covering those spreads for now.

#189They're covering spreads but also winning ML too. The more they do that the more they believe they're a Super Power. I really see something special in this team and I've been watching (and coaching) basketball for a looong time. #191Demon - barring a disaster, they are definitely making the playoffs. Winning a championship is a HUGE stretch for this year, especially losing Sexton but the pieces are falling in place for a nice run. The East could be up for grabs if Brooklyn and Bucks have issues. The West is too loaded though. This years winner is coming out of the West.Originally posted by DemonataThey wont win the championship but might make the playoffs. #192lol winning a championship
There's zero chance of that happening even if Sexton was healthy. First off they have zero playoffs experience, and then have zero superstar, you pretty much need both in order to win a championship... name a team that won a championship without any of those 2 components??? Cavs looks promising have bright future but it's just the beginning of what could be a championship team in the future, still way too early to say they have any shot of winning it all.

#205OH My GOD!!! Wait till you see that Jarrett Allen dunk. OMG the Cavs hang 81 points in the first half. The crowd is on fire. Then Allen with a block out of nowhere and a lob to Mobley. That was fukkking incredible. That was an outstanding half of basketball. The Kings have no idea what hit them. You have to see the last 2 minutes of that half. One of the best I've seen ever in the NBA. My goodness.Comment -
