Yep, the Cavs came out the gate hot as hell. Didn't give up a point for the first 7 minutes of the 1st quarter only to lose in the end. That was a depressing game/loss

They are back at home tonight and I think they rebound hard against the crappy Pelicans. Whether they cover the -7.5 points is a different story though? I'm still on the fence in taking this bet though. Cavs are playing back to back games as well. Probably taking a pass on this game. He's banged up with a sore back and was out to get rest. If he doesn't play, you can't logically take the Cavs and you should take their Under because they're not scoring 100+ without Garland in any game.

Only reason the line was -4.5 was because the Cavs were on a back to back. Would have been higher if they had at least a day rest.
I think even with Garland out the Cavs will be favored. Probably -2 or -3. I'd cap it as even money or even Rockets -1 but the books have been finally catching up to the Cavs.

Jibbby - The Cavs are 9-2 the last, 11-4 in the new year. Just win baby. Unfortunately, they are not covering, which is no good for the wallet. They are still covering 1st quarter and 1st halfs but choking like dogs in the 2nd half. I lost like $2k last week on a game by 1 point that they missed like 17 free throws. That was fukkking ridiculous.

The Griz are 12-4 in the new year. They are 6-4 in their last 10.

Cavs have certainly dropped from being a covering ATM. That's for sure. Which is why I cooled off them a bit. The lines used to be soft, now might be inflated, which is why I said really after Rubio went down to tread lightly.


This team is struggling to score points without Garland (especially when they lost Rubio). They really don't have players that can create their own shot, which is crucial in the playoffs. Mobley is starting to score in the paint and Love is a pure scorer off the bench but other than that you only have Okoro slashing in the lane. They really miss a guy like Sexton who is just a beast. They have to address this because no way they go deep in the playoffs currently constructed.

Cavs probably win and maybe cover tonight but like I said in an above post I'm done for now and can't trust betting on them going forward.

Other teams to play on right now that I feel are safer grabs. Like playing Memphis and Phoenix especially at home.

Cavs didn’t care about this game tonight. I was sitting courtside. The team was more focused on hitting the club afterwards with Shaqs son. The Cavs have issues moving the ball without Garland. Just hammer the under whenever he doesn’t play. They have the easiest schedule remaining. They have been on a good win streak and will start winning again after the All Star break. Relax.

Yep, I don't trust the Cavs right now. Too many stupid turnovers, poor free throw shooting and lackluster defense. Jarrett Allen is not playing well and too much pressure on Mobley and Garland. Now, Markannen is out for some time too. Every time this team is poised to make a move they seem to take 2 steps back with injuries and/or Covid. Snake bit. Might lose these next 2 games.

Jibby - I posted this almost 2 weeks ago. Cavs are short handed. They are struggling. Even though they blew the doors off of the Bucks a week ago. You can't close your eyes and just bet them anymore. They've hit several bumps. Can't trust them every night. Especially Fade them anytime Garland doesn't play.
