Does this thread, or any other thread about the recent SBR change have any value or info?

You guys seem so invested in what's going on, so full of speculation and some desire to guess right.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

SBR starts wiping out all traces of offshore books, totally castrates the most important odds page into worthless dust and then offers an explanation worthy of a cheap politician. Of course the only option is to speculate.

Occam's Razor says SBR received a cash infusion from the competition of what was removed. Namely offshore books that US citizens have access to. All traces of better sports gambling options for US citizens have no place in a world run by Caesars, DRaft Kings, Fanduel, William Hill.

SBR was probably offered less than the cost of one commercial. Those prime time nationally televised commercials come from loads of cash received from totally blind US players who have no idea what real odds are.

The hatchet odds available at the aforementioned Sportsbooks are stacked so much in favor of the house that no normal gambler has a chance of ever winning money. That's a fact.
It's really not that hard to figure out.

This is why the new brass at SBR has removed the offshore odds. No one in their right mind plays at DraftKings or FD or any US based sportsbook when you can play at much better better offshore places.

Have you seen the commercials recently about "same game parlays" like they were just invented by US sportsbooks? Have you seen the payouts? Not that I'm a parlay player but....

Why do I care?

Because US based players would come here to the odds or forum and see options like Bovada, Heritage, YouWager, Bookmaker etc... and play there.

Now they will come here and see William Hill or other US based sportsbooks and play there.

Why does that matter? Because the more players at a given sportsbook the bigger the handle and the bigger the profit for the sportsbook. There will be more liquidity and less limiting on players or scrutinizing the action of decent players. If a sportsbook is rolling in the cash a handful of players making a few grand a week is not even noticed.

All the noobs coming here to SBR now will be corralled over to a crap US based sportsbook where no serious player plays.

Sharp players at the offshore outlets will be "noticed" more.

When Facebook, Amazon, Walmart or Google buy a new company a lot of times is to shut down their services. So someone who does not like offshore odds, like a US based book, may have bought SBR for the sole purpose of shutting down their offshore odds service.

A lot of business decisions are not made for the good of the people that use the service but for the good of the stockholders or executives.
