Have you ever seen five consecutive sports days like this?

Started Thursday night with the Rams game which was innocent enough, and it's winding up with this insane MNF game with Jackson's Ravens making their biggest comeback in the Lamar era.
Not to mention all the other wild shit from the NFL yesterday.

Think about everything in-between Thursday and Monday that happened.
Half a dozen surreal NCAA football games, Alabama/Texas A&M, the insta-classic Oklahoma/Texas game where there was, what? 88 TD's in the span of five minutes. Iowa/PSU, Arky/Ole Miss....

I just witnessed back-to-back Red Sox walk offs in the MLB postseason and that was only the tip of the iceberg as far as the MLB playoff craziness has been.

Oh, then there was one the greatest heavyweight boxing championship of all time where both boxers beat the brains out of each other.

There's more...

Most insane sports long weekend in my lifetime.

Yeah, last week they sent me an e-mail.

Before COVID I regularly played two poker tournaments monthly (the guaranteed deep stack) on Wednesday's they used to spread in the Mohegan Sun poker room.
Haven't been there in 20 months since COVID though.

They resumed the tournaments a couple of weeks ago but everything is scaled back.
Only 25 percent of the tables will be used, the poker room going to close now 2am (WTF is that?) a whole set of safety rules will be enforced, yadda, yadda, yadda...

I love Mohegan Sun, love it, it's an one hour drive from my house (50 minutes if I choose to drive 80 mph, I choose not to) a little more with traffic.

I'm not going back however until all those stipulations are lifted though.
I can wait, it's still a pain in the ass right now.
I will take a drive with the Mrs. next week to check out the book, and the Mrs. is into the fall festivals and the foliage stuff, open farmers markets, she loves that stuff and I'm OK with that kind of stuff too.

I'll let you know when I come back what I think.
From what my blog and twitter buddies tell me the book is amazing.
