Lexington is pretty small - one main drag with bars and restaurants. Fun town though.

lol, that's a decent lil hop skip and a jump away from Lex. Plenty of stuff in the DT area around Rupp and the hotels.

Check yelp. I'm not hip to Lex. I ain't visited in over 10 years. And haven't really partied in lex in over 20.
But here's links from a popular Lex local Alt newspaper.
somebody said he went straight for a while but it was just a health insurance thing

20 minutes. Plus it's always been one of the top rated restaurants in the area.

Check out the Parkette Drive-In. It’s a cool vintage place with some of the best Diner style food you’ve ever eaten. I took my crew there last time I was in town and it was awesome. The burgers, fried chicken, fish and onion rings are to die for!
The place has been around since the 50’s and is a national landmark. Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay have both profiled the place on their shows, with Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drives Ins and Dives proclaiming Parkettes one of the top 10 places of all time.
Try the KY “Hot Brown” Burger and the fried chicken, wow!
Prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Check them out Philly, not to be missed bro.

Turfway is 45 minutes from Lexington. Jeff ruby owned the waterfront but it sank.Montgomery inn is good. There are a few around turfway or you can head down 75 north til you get to cig.and find couple near the river. Jeff Ruby’s was where the athletes hung out but it sank.

Well, i guess if driving around the Lex area is an option. Check out the castle.
Drove by it when I was there but was more interested in bourbon at the time.
Speaking of old castles in Kentucky, before they restored the old Taylor distillery we were about to sneak on to the grounds. It was abandoned and more than a little creepy and then two random dudes in a truck stopped on the road and asked us what we were doing. We left immediately lol.

I'm not familiar with that old distillery. But I'm sure there are numerous around the state.
If it was located in actual Taylor county - where Campbellsville University is at - that whole Green, Taylor, Washington, Larue and especially Marion county, area, was old cornbread mafia stomping grounds. Could've had a lab set up or stash spot.

It's called Castle and Key now since Buffalo Trace owns the EH Taylor brand.
