I believe Wilson's finger injury is called basketball finger. I had about 2 years ago from getting my finger stuck in a pair of waders and pulling it out abruptly. Did not hurt but no control over your fingertip it just flops like it is dead. Took like 4 to 6 months in a splint to correct itself. It is a tendon injury. I Could be wrong though. Geno looking good though.
