If Flarhety was available he must come in that situation to pitch, you go down with your best pitcher surely, there is no next series starting rotation to worry about you have to get there first.

Devastating. But it shouldnt have come down to that. Only run scored on a wild pitch with a million men left on base.
APPRECIATED their streak,, but this was a very average team with a manager I'm not impressed by at all from what I saw here
Really- STL Didn't deserve to be here I'd rather have watched Cinci or Philly

Shidt had two pitchers on his roster that were not available at all, and that is one of them
he will likely need shoulder surgery. his velo dropped 8-10mph after he fast tracked his return from that torn oblique. the other pitcher was cabrera. why have two arms you cannot use? mike shidthead bay bay!!!

If you don't believe this look it up.
The team was 106-56 in the regular season.
With me so far?
Dodger won exactly 50 more games then they lost but if you bet them in the money line all season 100 dollars a game flat bets, you actually lost money.
How is that possible?
Easy.
I was just looking at it, the 56 times they lost the average LAD betting line was -191.
191 x 56 loses = 10,698 paid out
106 wins x 100 = 10,600 taken in.
Look it up, it's out there.
Seems unreal, but the Dodgers year in, year out are never real money makers (unless of course you bet them HARD in the WS last season)

True, but smart (or even casual) betters probably profited greatly betting on them considering that they were one of the top scoring teams in baseball along with giving up the least amount of runs in all of baseball.
Any time that I bet on them, it was at least -1.

Oh yeah for sure, and if you spot bet LA you probably made a bit of coin too, my point being they are day in day out an overpriced public team.
I was looking at some of those losses.
One was as a -256 favorite when Buhler lost to Jeff Hoffman and the Reds.
Two days after that Trevor Bauer (remember him) lost as a -202 favorite to Erik Lauer, then in his very net start five days later the same Trevor Bauer lost to that perennial Cy Young Award Candidate Keegan Thompson (who doubles as a SNL star don't you know?) and the Cubs as a -222 favorite. That was when LA went on a 2 and 10 slide. That was a brutal cooler, LA was well over -200 faves in most of those losses.

Schedule, start times and how to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers face the San Francisco Giants in the 2021 National League Division Series.

I'm sure all the teams in mlb lost before this season as a big favorite.
