Agree. He’s gone this off-season. Said it in my thread yesterday, YANKEES DON’T STAND A CHANCE. Everybody kept saying coin flip. Really wasn’t though. Yankees had a couple long winning streaks but they just never appeared to have any chemistry to me. That shit doesn’t fly in October.

Eff it. Needs to be done. Have to move on. Can’t let it linger. The roster is flawed too.

I thought so to but I honestly think his decision to pull Cole out at the moment might’ve saved his job. If he left him in there because “he’s Cole” and then Cole gave up a couple more, that’d be a huge managerial blunder. If anything the hitting coach needs to go. Feast or famine doesn’t win championships.

On another note. Did Phil Nevin have money on the Sox?

Nevin has made the same poor decision in the past at Fenway, not properly accounting for the action off the wall.
It was also a solid play by Sox fielders on the scoop and relay throws.

Wow. Had no clue Nevin had another blunder at Fenway. He has to be gone.

It's funny to see a bunch of armchair managers write the Yanks off because they won 92 games and lost a single game in the playoffs. They're obviously a contender next year.

Have you watched them all year? I’m assuming you’re a fan. Feast or famine has been the Yanks MO all season long. That doesn’t = a championship.

Funny post. They spent $180 million and should be a contender. That’s a given. Rays spent $47 million and won the division. Winning 92 games is not the goal, winning championships is the goal. Yankees were the last team to even sneak in the wild card game… barely in a 1-0 win against the Rays.
They lack chemistry, leadership, desire and are more streaky than anything. There will have to be changes everywhere. Write them off? Yes, you are correct, they are written off because they just scored 2 runs in a Wild Card must win game to their bitter rival and only scored 8 over the last 4 in the most important games of the season. They aren’t moving on so they are 100% written off. It’s better this way so they don’t get embarrassed some more by the hungrier Rays.
It’s not just Boone either. It’s Hal, it’s Cashman and it’s the culture. The Boss is dead and the passion and fire to win went with him. I could call out players but what’s the point? It’s a collection of overpaid stiffs that produce the same mediocre results year in and year out. It’s basically the same guy 1-9. Sad state of affairs in my opinion. Starts at the top. If you accept it, you encourage it.

Yankees record against their division opponents this year. These fukkin clowns don’t even get motivated and fired up to battle their division rivals. Embarrassing.
VS Tampa: 8-11
VS Toronto: 8-11
VS Boston: 9-11 (including wildcard)
VS Baltimore: 11-8
Meanwhile, in Tampa:
VS Baltimore: 18-1
VS Toronto: 11-8
VS Boston: 11-8
VS NYY: 11-8

Judging a team by one game is foolish. If the Yanks had won, they would be the same team with the same manager and the peanut gallery would be praising them.
