Weird that the Yanks line just dropped from -129 to -127. I get that it's baseball but I went from liking the NYY tonight to making them an autoplay.

Don't think that will affect the outcome. (not that I know what that'll be)
Remember ions ago I bet against SF Giants when I heard Bobby Bonds (before his head blew up) was out.
The legendary Nick Esasky replaced him and hit 2 hrs. (one from each side of the plate!)
Think the sox take this on, even with no JD.
GL whoever you take.

Esasky never was on the Giants.

A DH out of the lineup no matter how lethal his stick is really won't effect the outcome all that much.
If JD were a slick defensive SS or a smooth outfielder with a strong bat that would be a different story.
Oh sure you'd love to have his four plate appearances tonight, but trust me, it's not as big a deal as some might make it out to be.
I'm still on record as of a couple of days ago it'll be the least likely suspect who'll be the hero.
(Bobby Dalbec anybody?)
Schwarber is going to DH, and that's the best case scenario for Boston, as his glove at 1B is death.
In Kyle's defense (pardon the pun) he never played 1B in his life before the deal to Boston, Red Sox asked him, and Schwarber said I'll give it my best 100 percent effort (and how can you not love a guy like that)
Face facts though, Schwarber a dropped infield pop up waiting to happen.
Yankees up the middle defensivly is shaky,
Torres and Gio as SS and 2B I have no confidence in and 1000 year old Gardner in CF has lost about three steps.
Best defender NYY has is Higgy behind the plate.
And Judge in RF is an outstanding fielder with a cannon, outside of that NYY defense might be good for a couple of earned runs.
Like the poster above me said, DJ out is a bigger loss to NY than JD four DH plate appearances.

Yep.
Esasky came over in the Reds trade for Todd "egos be damned" Benzinger.
Dwight Evans and (former Sox catcher than Sox broadcaster) Bob Montgomery.
Benzinger pissed off pretty much the whole Sox dugout and I'm convinced if they didn't trade him they would have hung Todd by his neck at high noon in Kenmore Square.
Shame, Esasky in the prime of his career had already smacked 30 dingers in 1989, then develops vertigo, VERTIGO, who develops vertigo?
Never the same again.
Nevertheless, the Braves in 1990 thought they could fix him with ear doctors, eye doctors, hypnotists...
No good, he payed 9 games in the spring of 1990 for Atlanta, stuck out 14 times in 35 at bats, and that was that.
Tough to face a 100 mph fastball with 1/3 loss of your left ear and the vertigo sensation that you were floating like Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters 30 feet above home plate.
Know this, that white boy had major pop in that wonder stick.

Makes perfect sense to leave Sale off, he can't go, he's unavailable, he's spent from Sunday.
Bullpen isn't the Sox problem, and Eovaldi has been their best starter by far all year.
Now NYY may win this game, but they are hardly an auto play lock of the year.
Save that rubber band Landers for another game

Saw interesting numbers last night.
Cole's last three haven't been good, but his best of the three was against the Red Sox.
Eovaldi's recent games have been better than Cole's, but last time he faced NY, he got blown up.

For valid reasons, but wild that the two highest-paid Red Sox players aren't on the roster for a playoff game against the Yankees.

If Gaston loses the 1st set gonna make the same bet Gaston 2nd set plus the Yanks. If Gaston loses in straights & the Yanks lose it's gonna be a very bad day. Goal is to make 1K with these bets.

Nice comeback from the little French fixer down 1-4 in the 1st. (bet it at 5-5). No need to bet the rest of the match, just hope the Yanks complete the freeroll.

Yeah that was a very odd story.
He was coming off a career year in a contract year and got a big* contract.
Ear infection shortly after, vertigo he couldn't get rid of, career over at age 30.

No need to overthink this gentleman. Forgetting about faves & dogs you just know there's gonna be 1 home team & 1 road team winning these WC games. Don't try to outsmart yourself & just pick the obvious ones. With that said, on the 30 year anniversary of the LAD/NYY 1981 WS, they will finally meet again as the 1st time both 2 WCs make the WS.

Schwarber bats .176 vs. Cole in 19 AB's.
Hernandez the only Red Sock who meets Judge and Stanton in avg vs Cole but
Hernandez doesn't have the slugging the Yankee duo has.
Yankees batting lineup is better vs Eovaldi than ****-versa. Even Gardner or Rizzo might be factors.
It will become more difficult for the Red Sox to pitch around the Yankee lineup than it will be for the Yankees
to pitch around the Red Sox lineup without Martinez.
If this game were at Yankee Stadium, taking the Red Sox would be almost indefensible without Martinez.
Is Fenway worth this much? No. Yankees just proved how much they love winning at Fenway.
I would rather have Yankees for entire game than FF. I also like the TT 4/5 just in case Cole loses it.
Yankees TT Over 4 -118, Over 5 +150 . Over 3 -225 Over 6 +240. Mix your taste.
Yankees World Series +1200 (better than +600 for AL), this dispartity of 600 is ludicrous.
If the Yankees somehow don't score at least 4 runs, you don't want them anyway.
