It's also just the very first game of the season especially, can sometimes end up being a serious aberration. To put much weight on it later on is pretty silly.

Losing bad one week can sometimes be a "positive" for the next as a team becomes more introspective and gets serious about fixing the issues and righting the ship. Of course if a team sucks, they suck.

That's truly amazing. It's become some an offensive game. Why?

1) The rule changes have mostly been to help offense. How do u play Defense any more without getting flagged?
2) The ball. This loosely ties to Deflate-gate. Aikman talked about this. I believe the standard is now that the NFL allows teams to play their own Offensive ball. It's very much a feel thing, and the QB is throwing the ball he's comfortable with.
3) Lastly, the kickers have gotten MUCH better. Tucker barely needs to cross mid-field to be in range. The midfield yards are often the easiest to get. If Tucker was home kicker in Denver, what would his max be? 72 yards?

Well isn't that the key. Not calling it one way or another, but Buffalo can only play the team in front of them.

I think Buffalo is the better team, but at 2-2 in last place, KC really need this home win and I'm not sure the NFL wants to let them lose.

I see the argument back and forth about schedule etc. for me its the eye test. I watch games all day sat and sun. KC was outplayed this yr in almost every game. Clev just pissed week 1 away or the chiefs would be 1-4. Their defense is awful. And they are not getting the same chunk plays on offense. You are seeing them run the ball more, throw many more short passes, play slower with longer more time consuming drives. I think they will miss the playoffs. SB loser struggling the next year is real. You get so close to a title and lose, and now you have to try to replicate it all over again. Its very hard to regain the swagger after losing the SB
