Yes you are right but that doesn't tell the whole story to anyone who watched the game and understands the game. Cincy was a mess in the 1H and Jax was feeling it. Chances are very good Cincy wasn't gonna score anything before half no matter what happened on 4th down. There's a thing called halftime adjustments.

The worst thing that could have happened for Jax was halftime. All their momentum was lost. Cincy regrouped and they had the home team to cheer them on in the 2H. That's the game.

This is a complaint about not kicking a field goal instead of going it at the 1-yard line? If you cannot score from the 1, you deserve to lose. Meyer was playing football.

yeah.. let's go for it from the 1 and let's run a play that only works in college when you have the proper space and execution/timing to pull it off... yeah... let's run a speed option 1 yard away from a TD... speed option

the more ppl who defend this.. vegas and their analytics and bs has so many people convinced

when in fact, blowing that play with the stupid call and horrible execution lead directly to Bengals being pumped as they went into half and made proper adjustments vs a franchise who was trying to avoid losing a 19th consecutive regular season game but didn't want to take a 17 point lead (3 scores) on the road with just 1 min left before half...

If you're anti-analytics so be it, but the analytics do say if you do indeed go for it your best chance of getting in is the QB sneak.

Maybe but remember John Gruden's first year returning to the Raiders went 4-12. Last year 7-9. This year he's 3-0 so far.

Jax competed but lost and they have a rookie QB. Too early to say one way or another. Talk to me after next season.

3-0 but big ben is trash now and steelers were down a lot of starters and mia game they should've been called for a PI that would've setup Dolphins for the win

Steelers are missing AJ Watt big time but injuries are part of the game. I am not counting out Ben and the offence just yet. He could throw 5 TD Sunday and 6 the week after. As far as the Raiders go, they are 3-0 with 2 OT wins but wins nevertheless.

Its a long season.

When you are Jax and you have a chance to go up 21-0 with 1-yard, you have to take it. The team was on a roll. It was a great time to get one yard. Hindsight is 20-20. That's extremely conservative. That's fine if you have a winning team. If you have the worst team in the league, you take some chances to try to win. You ain't winning by trying to back your way in.
