    Know why?

Because the Super Bowl is not team v. team.
    It's an event.
The Super Bowl is pop culture, and the SB is the king of pop culture.

Teens will watch because of the hip hop halftime show.
Moms and secretaries will watch for the commercial ads.
Dudes will watch because it's football.

It could be Lions v. Jags, and still have a gazillion rating.
The game will not be the focal point of conversation around the water cooler the Monday morning after the game.
The halftime show will be, and the housewife/secretary will be all about the cute puppy ad, or the funny fast food ad.
And of course. the died in the wool fan will be talking pigskin, but like I said it won't be the focal point, but one of several.

Burrow put up pedestrian numbers today and came away with a miracle win. He's extremely lucky that the Chiefs had one of the most epic meltdowns in history after halftime.

Superbowl ratings took a dive after the 2017 season. I don't think the Jags vs Lions would do the same as the top teams.

Oh yeah for sure it's going to be watched bigtime. It's the Super Bowl.

I remember the Dr Dre, Snoop, all that age. I'll be watching the halftime show. But...Snoop and Dre are not exactly gonna bring women to the ratings. Not sure how many teens are gonna watch my Gen X music.

All i got to say is-if it was Rams vs Bengals regular season game-how many of you guys are really interested in that game. You know the answer. Yeah it's an interesting matchup, but if Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen is going against Trom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, there is no question the ratings would be higher.

Main thing is of course I ca$h, I'm sure the same can be said for most everyone here.

There will be a lot of fighting-a lot of extremes-a lot of junior high ego battles-a lot of this is taking too long when's the game coming-and most probably (and I expect) a game that leaves little to be desired when all is said and done (I think I already decided what'll happen, could b wrong)

Ratings could take a nose dive and the SB will still be the most watched TV event of the year.
Shit in the outside world comes to a screeching halt on Super Bowl Sunday in that six hour pre-game, to game time, to post game window.

Networks, ad companies, and everything Super Bowl related will not lose a penny due to this matchup.

I might be wrong, but wasn't last year's superbowl one of the lowest rated superbowls in like 20 years? And that was Brady vs Mahomes.

Jags vs Lions might be h ell more entertaining

Trevor Lawrence, the whole Urban Meyer thing with Khan, Goff and his story, first year coach Campbell who is off the rails

I'd rather watch Jags vs Lions as a casual fan. At least it has a story behind it

All we got are cerebral coaches, Stafford trying to win his 1st Super Bowl after many years (it's a story but only for die hards), and Joe Burrow who might be the next Superman (never heard so much love for a guy who hasn't done s hit yet...oh wait that was Mahomes). It's just a dull story line, nothing to get the guy off the street excited. H ell I'm on it and I'm not excited either lol

The next big game he loses will be his first. Also heard he has a pants pickle that goes from Cincinnati to Ashtabula. Guy is a winner in every sense of the word fade at your own risk.

The Bengals mvp is their kicker, 2 game winners.

Burrow is trash. Constantly going to his 3rd option or check downs.

And why does Joe and Jane casual bettor matter?

Because the more ca$h the average bettor puts in an intriguing matchup, the better it is for everyone.
