One story says the Bears have a lease to play at Soldier Field until 2033. Of course, people ignore contracts all the time. No one should care. The NFL and every team care about the fans only as far as they dream up ways to get money from the fans' wallets into the team's bank accounts. Nothing more, nothing less, and it's not changing anytime soon.

Glad I bought some property in Arlington a little while back.

Should go way up in value and even if it doesn't I have a 5 minute ride to the Bears game.

Lightfoot is immaterial and is holding no cards so that point was a much bigger deal prior to this purchase.

Of course nothing is 100% but it seems the Bears at the very least are highly considering the move...

I for one think it's a fantastic idea.

Arlington is a great property and perfectly set up for a new stadium project. I think there's some people here commenting that have never been to Arlington.

If you haven't been there, you don't know how this particular property is set up for exactly this.

Lightfoot is trash, but Soldier field is a major stadium that was recently renovated, they aren't going to build a new Soldier field overnight.

A structural engineer familiar with the stadium noted that the 2003 renovation created the current Soldier Field by essentially pouring a new seating layout into the horseshoe-shaped boundary of the original structure, completed in 1924.

It's not a matter of ignoring the contract. The contract allows the team to just pay the remaining lease. If they move, that's what they'll do.

How many times can you put your foot in your mouth about something you clearly have NO idea what you're talking about?

Soldier Field is the SMALLEST capacity in the NFL, and it can't get any better.

The "remodel" was a huge disappointment.

                              Quit embarrassing yourself

                              "Recently renovated" LOL

Post#49: how many times before you run out of luck? what that means is you have never made a bet with your own cash. Always someone else's. then you never pay them back
At some point, people will stop "donating" to your dis-ease
