It has to do with health insurance. A business pays a certain amount of premiums to have the employees insured. When the insurance company pays the hospital $100,000 for some unvaccinated employee who got hospitalized and only $100 for someone who got the vaccine then it raises the premiums. So all the employees will pay more for premiums next year to cover the healthcare costs of the unvaccinated who got hospitalized.

Do you see now why private companies require employees to be vaccinated?
