I mean, he's not lying. That is a clean hit. I had money on GB ML and was furious about the refs this game. They made a few really head scratching calls. After watching this one after the fact, they got this one right. That is a great football play by Ward.

I thought this was the new era league where if you get your bell rung you're basically put on maternity leave and have to go through a 12-step concussion protocol before even being considered eligible again. This has been talked about all night, and GB is backing their stance on putting him back out there so quick
and he didn't look so good on that route when he came back in.
on the other side, he did kind of wake up after a few plays.

If you watch the last angle, he did hit him pad to pad. His helmeted contacted adams face shield, but it was incidental contact.

I thought it was a clean hit but maybe I'm biased as a 49ers fan. I just felt like he led with his shoulder and unfortunately Adams got knocked silly for a minute but that looked like good clean football to me. Usually those kind of hits get flagged anyway because you got to protect defenseless receivers but I think they got this one right.
