NE is a really bad team and it has nothing to do with Tom Brady not being there. Ignore who's at QB and coach for both teams and it's pretty clear Tampa has better players at key positions up and down the board.

bad teams cover in the NFL every Sunday. Sometimes on Thursday and Monday as well. Also you really don’t know how truly bad or good a team is until about week 7 or 8. Sure, there are a couple teams you can say for certain are already garbage but some we will have to see.

The amount of people I talked to this week that totally ignored the NFL is a game largely of STRATEGY. It’s not the NBA, just let athletes run up and down the floor and see what happens. It’s not MLB where you pull a guy who’s throwing lasers cuz of his “pitch count” and bring in a hamburger with a 4.75 ERA to ruin the game plan. NFL is a chess match. New England had a MASSIVE advantage going into this game being so familiar with its opponents QB.

Said I wasn’t sure if New England would win but absolutely felt they were going to cover. Knew they would have something for ole Tom this week. Collinsworth referenced it all game. Pats had a tremendous gameplan on D tonight. Hell of a game.
