Kelly is a complete POS. People forget about the kid who died because he sent him up in a dangerous situation to film practice also physically assaulted a strength coach on the sideline. It tells you alot about today's society that people are offended by a dumb joke instead of those other things.

Yea it was funny with McKay's deadpan delivery in 1976. Kelly botched it - Tessitore tried to cover for him bringing up McKay immediately. Nothing really to see here but "cancel culture" won't pass up on any opportunity these days...

To me Kelly doesn't have the best "poker face" in the world. If you review the tape... and interview... sure... it was a poor joke. He totally screwed it up. It was so badly done... he looked serious. That's why the female reporter was sort of like... um ok...

Clearly by the time Kelly walked away from that Live interview... had a chance to rethink what he did.... he tried to play it off like "Are you serious?" I was joking! Yeah... because he knows it could cost him his job. You simply can't say anything from the 1970's or whenever that comment was made. No one really gives a sh#$ what he was trying to do... all we know is that he said it. That's the way society is today.

Coming from a college like Notre Dame... the AD is probably saying oh sh#$ at the moment.

You can call someone a FAGGGGG and lose your job... but you say... "execution" of a team... and it's ok??? His facial expression didn't even look like a joke when he said it... that's why I'm surprised you just let this go???

Yes because black men historically have been lynched or hung so it is a word clearly filled with racially charged origins in this country.

Not sure if you don't understand the repercussions of calling someone a "Fagg" in that context or if you just don't understand the original statement, which never called anyone anything.

This is a strange thread.

It also sounds like you want Brian Kelly to come under fire because of something ESPN did to someone else, whatever that might be, because you aren't specific.

Strange considering Brian Kelly said nothing offensive to anyone, nothing at all.
