#47you must be located in that area
so do you think if those 4 move ASAP, they will get rid of texas/oklahoma for next year?
kinda make sense
i mean you wouldnt want texas and oklahoma finishing 1/2 then leaving
right?Comment -

#48No, the plans are to make Texas and OU stay to get the TV money or make them pay out. Probably going to be some kind of settlement and maybe the conference gets a better TV deal.Comment -

#56The New Big 12 will be unwatchable. Still feels like a group of 5 conference. West Virginia and UCF should be trying to get in the ACC and Houston should want to be independent now and BYU should stay independent.Comment -

#57At the very least every legacy big 12 team will fight to get out until they do. The list posted on the first page will probably not even make it to 2023.Comment -

The Big 12 loses Texas. Texas played BYU and got waxed twice. Cincinnati is better than or as good as now. UCF is pretty close and going to get a lot closer.
Houston is going to be Tom Herman Houston pretty much every year. That is where they are going to rise to. That's a pretty close conference to what they have now even losing OU.
Texas is most likely going to get a lot better. OU probably not. The competition of the conference for what it is now basically will be the same.
They will lose a lot of TV dollars. But Texas makes more money than everybody else and they still can't beat TCU.
Tampa Bay has a heck of a baseball team every year. The NFL draft is unpredictable. The NCAA draft is even more unpredictable.
UCF is going to start landing SEC players. That is going to hurt some SEC teams. Cincinnati is going to start landing Big 10 players. That is going to hurt some Big 10 teams. BYU is going to be as good as Utah. Utah got a lot better going to the Pac 12. BYU is going to get better.
All of these teams cannot get better without some teams getting worse.
The Big 12 is going to be about as good as it is now. It is the same number of DI schloarships. They are not going to make as much money. The coaches will make less and SEC coaches are going to get fired a lot.Comment -

#62The SEC is also not all that great. Alabama is a juggernaut for now. Mississippi State was an underdog to Tulsa. Mississippi was an underdog to Indiana. Arkansas is losing to Rice. Texas is an 8-point favorite to Lousiana Lafeyette which I never thought I would see.
It's two really good teams and not all that much else. It is better than the other conferences but a lot of teams not all that great.
The SEC played all these Sunbelt schools for automatic wins and now they cannot even put them on the schedule anymore. They have to find someone else to play. Things are getting tighter.Comment -

#67Had to get them in because they have a valuable TV market and were the biggest get financially. No way around it. And they will pay the price. Houston's rise will come from their fall.Comment
