Lincoln is in the middle of nowhere. The highlight of that town is Sizzler and the children's zoo. Too many other options out there.

Martinez is really trying everything he can to move the offense. He is really hampered with bad players. They have no run game and the receivers look slow. Illinois defense is pretty good. Strong Dline and good defensive backs. I'm actually impressed with Martinez under this extreme pressure.

Did you see his Oline, his RBs and his WRs? Those guys should be playing in HS. Martinez kept them in a game they should have been blown out. It's pretty easy to call out stats but if you really watched the game you would recognize when a guy has game. Martinez has game. Put him in any other system and he would have balled out stats wise.

Stop it. Illinois picked up some key guys on defense. Their Dline is one of the best in the B10 and they have great cover corners. They totally dominated NB in the trenches. They could not run the ball and then when your receivers are blanketed, what is a QB supposed to do? Bielema is a damn good defensive coach and he had them prepared to take away the run. NB doesn't have any playmakers outside of Martinez. That kid played well considering the situation.

Opinions are like assholes. We all have them. I thought he did very well considering the talent on the field. Plenty of season left. We shall soon see if he's a bum. It's very easy to blame the QB. Martinez was not the reason they lost today.

Nebraska's offensive line was very underwhelming, I'd pin the blame on them more than anything. They could not run the ball at all. I wonder why Nebraska doesn't try to get the ball to Omar Manning more often, he looks like a poor man's Terrell Owens. The Toure kid flashed at times, but too often the pocket was collapsing and Martinez and had to book it.
