I think the powers that be at Nebraska badly want Frost to succeed. Hes an ex-husker QB that the public loves and they would like nothing better for him to become the next Tom Osborne. He was a hot property coming in and the honeymoon has lasted longer than perhaps it should have. At 12-20 a long sober look is no doubt quick in coming. If they lose this game, even quicker
As for this game, Im not sure I would play it if it was in the middle of a 50-game card. I tend to lean corn on the money line only. I can see a close game. Peters isnt terrible and hes a veteran. I feel the huskers will be improved, however its just a feeling. Contrary to many in here I feel Martinez is a guy who can move the ball. Hes an excellent runner and an above avg passer. Bielemas a good coach but he aint Chriss Angel. Corn is more talented and should win the game but I wouldnt lay 7 on the road the very 1st game of the season.

I like the Illini also.They return many on both sides of the ball. They have a very good O line and a stable of rb's.The main concern for the Illini is their defense,they have not finished better than 10th in the Big10,since 2015. Have little confidence in the Neb program....getting +7 here is attractive for a 1 unit play.
