this....if you believe this guy is your true 'future' which they have no reason not to then it only makes sense to 'lock him up' as soon as possible, wait another year (assuming he has a great year) and the price only goes up 10-20%

Different career pavy. Kelly imo wasn't that great. He had lots of weapons and buffalo was stacked on defense and special teams as well. I'm not comparing the two overall I'm just saying that Allen might never play in a Superbowl. I don't blame buffalo for locking him up but he might not be that great.

You may be right but you can't judge Allen for the years he hasn't played yet. I think Buffalo could make the Superbowl this year. The Chiefs are regressing and Buffalo plays in an easy division to make playoffs every year. The Patriots and Jets are a disaster and Miami can't win in cold weather in January.

The owners have to pay out half of their revenue in salary so you can't say the guy is not worth it. He is a young QB and they have to pay him. He is doing better because he got his deal later. They either have to fish or cut bait and they are fishing. Its unreal he is paid more than Mahomes because there is no comparison between the two. That's professional sports though.
