Couldn't agree more! Love the fact that in early July the Scrubs already said they were sellers, packed it in for the season. Have fun hanging out with the Pirates for the foreseeable future!

Go figure, the top two firemen (Kimbrel, and Barnes) in the majors right now were labeled as 'has been, washed up' back in March.

Seems like your Cubs got a decent trade for Kimbrel. i know Madrigal was a very high(top 5 overall?) pick a few years ago.

Are you happy with what you got in return?

I guess. On the surface I thought the return might be stronger. Madrigal seems like a better version of Hoerner.

Now wait to see what Bryant returned.

Sold everybody. I mean, if you are selling then you might as well commit. All these guys had expiring contracts, so why not.

I wonder if it's because every team has embraced the team-building model from The Process 76ers where you either try to win or try to tank (no in between). Or if teams desperately need to dump salary due to financial losses during COVID
