Included in that number were those most at risk of being hospitalised. If the vaccine gave no protection at all we would expect 93-98% of the hospitalisations to come from the 65% given the 'dummy' vaccine. That the number is only 40% shows that the vaccine is highly effective. That 60% of the hospitalisations are from the un-vaccinated minority, (the youngest, healthiest, and the least likely to be hospitalised), demonstrates the risk those people are taking. However, they are, and should continue to be, free to take such a risk.

My niece is a nurse in North Carolina and STRONG SUPPORTER of vaccine...........BUT she says 90% of the people that come to the ER room for any type of condition are partially or fully vaccinated AND their ICU room is 50/50 vax/UNvax for those with covid symptoms.
