Great way to make sure that POS Pastor's name and face is kept in the news. If the pastor didn't protect his assets (may not even have any assets), you can at least get a judgement against him, which will limit his ability to earn a check legally. Well that's certainly not always true. Many/most lawsuits are filed by the attorney with a contingent fee so the attorney doesn't get paid unless collected. No attorney would do that if it was uncollectible. It's true though, need to make sure you're not trying to get blood from a stone.Comment -

?? No. The only contingency cases attorneys take are malpractice/ wrongful death. And in every contingency case the client fronts the 1st $40k, after that's its a 60/40 split of any settlement over $xx. Only cases with tolling arrangements w 3rd party insurers are even looked at by lawyers to risk time and effort for this.

I'm well aware of what contingency fee cases lawyers take. It varies a lot more than you think. Just depends on the situation. Client doesn't always front the first $40k. Not at all. Many clients are brokedikks without a penny. And if it's a good case attorneys will fight it out to take it for "free".
