#4He can have a role in the nba but he’s obviously not a star or even close to what he thinks he is. He sees the floor great but that’s about it.Comment -

#5Hopefully soon. Sickening how much money these guys make and don't give a damn about winning or losing or being able to shoot a free throw like you learn in grade school leaguesComment -

#8Laker, u called it. Simmons is not too good.
One question:
*What is this guy's work ethic like?
The great players work on their game. Free throws and wide-open jumpers would be a start.
Does this guy hate to lose? Something was off w/ him, even going back to LSU days.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#10He should work 24/7 on his free throw shooting all summer now. Make it a #1 priority. If not his value will drop in the toilet fast like it is now. He even needs to shoot free throws in his sleep in this off season...

#11Funny that me and another AAU coach was arguing last week about Ben Simmons over Cade Cunningham. We saw Cade at AAU finals in Dallas 2 years ago. I think he's going to be a beast in the wide open NBA. The coach was saying that Simmons was one of the most NBA ready PGs ever. I was like, What? He can't even shoot a jump shot. I can't wait to see him and hear his explanation.Comment -

#14Just saw a few instances of him trying to shoot FTs (I usually just follow gamecast)
To me it looks like he isn't using his legs enough or not timing the actual shot with his legs. Using your base when shooting basically basketball 101. If you have to get power and finesse from your upper body you aren't going to be accurate.Comment -

#16If he switches to center he is average at worst and does not hurt you with lack of shooting. But he can still be good I think.Comment -

Does the guy hate to lose? The GREAT players learned from the failings early in their career. They come back improved:
1) Tim Duncan worked on his Free Throws. Cleaned up a glaring weakness in his game.
2) As good as Magic Johnson was in transition...he had shooting problems. Very similar to Simmons! Magic improved his FT% to 85+, and he added the 3-pointer to his repertoire.
3) Dirk Nowitzki had an unusual frame. A less-committed guy might have been muscled out by stronger players. Dirk worked incessantly on his step-back shooting, basically became the best-shooting 7-footer ever.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#25Good player but has a long way to go. Doesn't have many dribbling moves. Has the raw athleticism. He doesn't need a jump shot, but you need dribbling moves to take a guy to the hole. He should try and strive to be Penny Hardaway. That's about the best comparison I can give for him if he hits his peak in a few years.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#27Simmons is the poster child of what is wrong with the NBA... overhyped tall guy who can barely shoot who is overpaid and owed $140 million over the next 4 years. Do you really think he is going to work on his game with that kind of salary? Hell no. Spoiled, entitled and doesn’t give a damn. He openly admitted he didn’t work or go to class at LSU and if you recall, they weren’t great.
What are his signature moves? He has a club leg too. Imagine being owed $140 million over the next 4 years for being terrible at the few things that matters at your job... dribbling, moving and shooting. Sure, he can defend but you don’t get $140 million for that. He is childish out there with a dumb deer in headlights look. His post game interview total joke. The other guys know they can punk him and get in his head. His teammates want him gone. I promise.Comment -

#32Mac, it's always interesting to hear a coach's view. See my notes above.
Dirk worked incessantly on his step-back shooting, basically became the best-shooting 7-footer ever.
Bottom line, the Sixers have to trade him. He needs a fresh start and the Sixers definitely need a new start. Embiid threw him under the bus too.Comment -

#33Wiggins is another head case. Kid was considered the next Lebron and totally has faded into an average player. Wiggins was awful in the play-in games. 2 chances to showcase and he sucked. Curry was playing 1 on 5. You're trading dog shit for cat shit.Comment -
