They can't bet the American Sports due to the time difference 12 hrs with East Coast. So when it is 1 to 8 pm in the US (when sports are played) it is 1am to 8 am in China. No one is going to stay up all night betting NBA and MLB live.

Soccer is not the most popular sport in China though. It's either basketball or table tennis

It's the top football league in China, why would it be impossible ?

Of course much easier to follow the league if you're Chinese but many third party providers like sportradar can do most of the heavy lifting for you if you're a bookmaker

Misspoke here. China's definitely had some success in women's tennis over the years including a grand slam winner (Li Na)

‘The Fix: Organized Crime and Soccer’ has appeared in twenty-one languages. Hill was the first person to show the new danger to international sport posed by the globalization of the gambling market and match-fixing at the highest levels of professional football (soccer) including the Champions League and FIFA World Cup tournaments. Part of the book details his involvement with an Asian match-fixing gang as they travelled around the world to fix major football matches.

Soccer is not the most popular sport in China though. It's either basketball or table tennis
It is not the most popular but it is very popular. I lived in China and the games are packed and it is a huge event. It is very big there. NBA is much bigger though.
