They are a pro hockey team. I've been watching most of the games in these playoffs. They are playing good hockey.....period. They are playing good defensively.....IMO and have a goalie playing extremely well.

Seriously? Coaches make littlle, if any difference and no two players turn an 8 seed into a 1.

I think it's fair to count overtime losses as ties, the regular season overtime 3 on 3 plus shoutouts provide no insight as to predicting what might occur during playoffs.
When regular season overtime was being altered decades ago the idea was to still have ties by counting overtime and shootout losses as ties, but count overtime and shootout wins as regular wins - by looking into how many times a team wins in regular season by overtime or shootout you can reduce their records to see how many actual regulation wins, and doing that will provide better insight into predicting playoff performances.
