Based on this information, there is a much better way to maximize potential profits. Instead of starting with game 4 and looking forward. Start with game 7 and look backward.

If it does go to game 7, we bet everything we have, as well as going to every loan shark and taking out as much as possible and bet it all on Montreal. There is no risk of it losing, because no way Montreal loses the series.

The best thing that can happen for us is for the series to go seven games. If that happens, we win seven figures. That means it is bad if it ends in 4, 5, or 6 games. Just bet Montreal to win game 4 at the best price (I'm getting -134). Then instead of a martingale, also bet the series to go 5 or 6 games, at around +400 and +700. That is an 11% edge on those bets, assuming one of them wins. And if they all lose, that's the best thing possible. I'm getting rich on game 7. No need to worry about limits, there are places that will let us keep making multiple limit bets. We don't care how much they move the line, we already no there is no way the bet loses.

I've done this in playoff series before while in Vegas.

$1000/$1500/$3000/$6000

But the key is to bet the +$$ team.

It's more likely that 1 dog wins 1 game in a series than any given team wins 4/7.
