cycle more rare, but it doesn't show a near top level dominance performance from a hitter as much as a no-hitter or perfect game does for a pitcher

              cycle is more about variance.

which is more dominant a 5-5 game with 2 hr's and 2 doubles
a 4-5 game with the cycle
              3-5 game with 3 Homeruns/2 grandslams
a 5-6 game with a HR, triple, and 2 doubles?

Lots of bad hitters in mlb these days. Used to be where teams were “average” at .250/.260
Today? It is 30 points lower and pathetic
All these hitters striking out while aiming for the fences

                              Might do a breakdown here.

They juiced the ball to the hilt two years ago and everyone and their mother was setting home run records.

But what happened to batting averages during that time and since then?

                              hmmm

No-hitters are watered down for sure but if Freddy got it that wouldnt have been a fluke. He's given up 29 hits in 64 innings this year. He's allowed more than 4 hits once all year, and that was 5 hits. He's barely behind Degroms rate. Not to mention 92 k's in those 64 innings. The guy has been dominant. He's already someone nobody wants to face but if he can cut down the walks then he's top tier
