I totally agree. Mark Jackson was a damn good coach in GS. Even as a commentator, you can see that he really understands the game. I really think he was the reason the Warriors had the early success. Curry even admitted it. But unfortunately, Jackson couldn't get along with the front office. He burned a lot of bridges with GS employees. He also didn't hire great assistant coaches which eventually got him fired. I think owners are skeptical whether they can get along with him, which is never a good look. Whoever gets him, will get a sure fire winner. The players love him. He just needs to know how to schmooze upper management.

He got a lot of pub taking Butler to 2 consecutive Final Fours. He should be thanking his lucky stars he had Gordon Hayward and Shelvin Mack. I really never thought he was a great Xs and Os coach. He just seemed to coach players to muck the game up at Butler. A lot of hand checking, fouling and rough play at Butler until the refs get exhausted and let most shit go. You can't do that in the NBA. He tried to have Boston play a rough, tough defensive style but the game today is more about offense. I don't think he liked coaching the free style of the NBA.
