MANY Friday MLB weather concerns - Buyer Beware

Many games are in doubt today on the MLB card.


Cin @ CUBS - Forecast for game time predicts a 20mph 43 degree temperature wind blowing IN from CF. Although rain moved eastward out of the Chicago area last night, another storm in Northwest Wisconsin is intensifying and moving slowly towards Chicago. The possibility of light rain throughout the game together with heavy and cold winds place this game in jeopardy. Buyer beware.


Other Friday MLB games with possible precipitation problems include...
Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Washington, Detroit, White Sox and Mets.
I'll give a more accurate forecast for these Friday night games in this Thread later in the afternoon.

Cin @ CUBS - Twenty minutes until game time the start is not in jeopardy. Playing conditions are very bad at 48 degrees. Wind is IN from CF at 21mph making it feel like 43 degrees. Light rain continues to be possible as the game plays.


Skies in both Detroit and Cleveland have begun to clear after some very long heavy rain. Depending on how much rain those fields can hold the grounds crews certainly have much work.


White Sox will play tonight with the same winds as the Cubs in raw weather conditions.


Pittsburgh is going to take some bands of heavy rain but should be playable.


Washington has heavy thunderstorms headed that way and we'll continue to watch as these storms may intensify.


Both New York City and Boston have long and heavy rain bearing down. These Mets & Red Sox games are in jeopardy of postponement.


More weather updates as they become available. Wind directions and speeds later as well.
