Checked it out tonight. Decent spot. Really nice bar on each of two-levels and tons of high quality viewing screens throughout. Not nearly enough seating for big days, but probably by design. More geared to upper class clientele looking to dine, drink and wager not degens going wild over $20 bets, particularly upstairs which has a VIP area. Lots of homies standing outside the arena at the entrance to the book smoking weed on the street watching the patio tvs and going inside to bet at the machines. Interesting dynamic. If nothing else, history made by being the first of many to come in Arena Sportsbooks.

#14Officially they'll never tell you except to say "it was a decision by management and their trading/risk department". I suspect they closely profile players and boot anyone that appears to place +EV wagers. The actual amount won was quite small -- just under $700 according to my spreadsheet.Comment -

#16No wonder Philly got hosed down the stretch. They had to get the first game there with a live sportsbook. That late charge on Tobias Harris wasn’t even close to a charge Gafford was moving both feet, wasn’t set and wasn’t even square with Harris. That other foul on Danny Green on the defensive rebound was absolutely COMICAL. There was also a layup late by I think Melton where two defenders, both with feet in the restriced are made contact and no and 1. Simmons gets tackled mid air and no flagrant. Should of never even got to Simmons embarrassing ft shooting.Comment -

#17Can you imagine if the sports book was up when Jordan was playing.
We could find MJ at the book during half time getting in his 2H wagers.

#22We shall see how William Hill evolves. Now fully owned by Caesars as of very recently. Hard to imagine they will be competitive in US Market if they play that game here. Already starting with sub-10% market share. They paid big bucks for it, and with the taxes, license fees etc. all books will need big handle to turn a profit.Comment -

#23Yes, it will be a show. I believe you will need to be "seated" to get upstairs for big days. Not gonna let a bunch of guys stand around scream at TVs without at least a couple hundred $ tab.Comment
