Thanks ck but there is already a thread out there on this.

Sometimes the players just act unprofrssional.

No need to apologize, lol, it was more for the mods to merge if anything.

Crazy clip, can't believe a pro first baseman would to something like that, ever, in any circumstance.

Especially with 2 outs. Dive and tag, or run the batter to home and inning over (run, not jog). Amazing the lack of fundamentals in some players.

Neither. Just reverse and step on first. Inning over. All he had to do.

Yeah, good point. I was in the mind of him already on the chase. But the less chasing, the better.

I mentioned it in the other thread. If he's a first baseman, he would never, since little league, do that. Some guys get confused or turned around or make an obvious error, like running the wrong way after a fumble or the wrong soccer goal.

                But that?

On top of that, instead of running him home he pulled up a gave the runner space. He doesn't go after the runner, after multiple chances.

                Intentional. Unprofessional

It's easy to say what the first baseman should have done. But it was the runner from 3rd going home that caused the panick. Someone panicked either someone yelled for him to throw the ball or the first baseman just panicked. Someone on the pirates should of yelled not to throw it

And even with that if the 2nd baseman covers first they could have thrown him out there with no damage.

Yea, the force was still in play. Baez acted like he stole a run when Contreras slide in safe at home, but if PIT got the out at 1st, the run still wouldn’t have counted.
