for game 1, i was thinking they could open the Suns at -2 but for all i know the Lakers could be favored by that same amount. i really wouldn't be surprised by anything that's thrown up there for game 1.
reason is, these teams only played 3 times this season and the Lakers never had Lebron & AD both play in any of them..
- Suns were -1 at LA and won by 10 in their first matchup (no AD)
- Suns were -10 at home and won by 17 in their second matchup (no Lebron or AD)
- Suns were -7 at LA and lost by 13 in their third matchup (no Lebron)
so in the one game the Lakers won, only AD played and went for 42. he manhandled Ayton, Kaminsky, and Saric that night. but again, there's no H2H data with both teams at full strength.

Suns to young and unproven in the playoffs. Experience of the Lakers will prevail if they can keep Lebron and AD healthy.
Suns blowout in the first game. Then the Lakers will get it in order.
This is what I thinking
look at the lines ...Suns -3 gm 1
and then what’s lakers series price ?

everybody is banking on Bron & AD to just turn it on & fix every underlying issue this team has. those guys aren't even close to 100% and last game proved it. Bron looked stuck in the mud & AD was rendered immobile by Draymond green. they played great D when it mattered most but truth is they didn't deserve to win that game last night.
you know how hard it is to win b2b titles? like insanely tough. only penetrating dynasties do that shit. this team isn't built like that whatsoever. the talent on this squad is simply not enough IMO. losing Rondo was huge.
Suns as underdogs in this series is a great bet. if the Lakers somehow get through 1st & 2nd rd then Im fading them hard if they matchup with Clippers in the conference finals. but Ill take a poke at any +money I can get on the way there.

This is a series to just play game by game. What if someone gets injured mid series. It feels like it could go 7 games as well. I would give the edge to the Lakers though. Because of their defense. They always manage to stay in games.

Lakers are lucky they don’t have to play the Jazz. Chris Paul is a playoff loser playing with a bunch of kids that have never been in the post season. Lakers win the series although I feel LA is an avg team. The have the experience and pieces though.

remember LeBron and his fanbase never let people forget that he is undefeated in the first round series, 14-0
pretty small price to pay for an easy winner and 15-0 first round series record

That was then this is now. Lebron old and has an iffy ankle. This Laker team has been dealing with injuries all year long and just now playing together. IDK about this Suns series? I'd like to see the Lakers win it but I'm kinda slightly leaning Suns now.
Suns are young though, not sure they have veteran juice to close out a tight series if comes down to that.

True about the NBA help. Refs will favor Lebron and Lakers fooo sure. Especially when the series comes back to LA.

This is the type of series where every game will likely go to the wire. Phoenix doesn’t have a closer though.
