Disagree. Depends on the situation. You will see lots of upsets in tournaments before grand slams. Lots of players will play to get their form and not going to risk injury or wearing themselves out before a bigger paying tournament. Also some guys probably go to tournaments just because they like the city and may party a little while they are there. They are human. After all. With grand slams youre pretty much always going to get their A game.
