#180Coinbase don't even support Doge. I've had CB for about 3 yrs.
I realize over past few years that Doge has gained a larger fan base, but I'm still curious as to how many places it was available for purchase back when it was first created.
When I search, I only find articles about this or that trading platform that has added Doge for trading, and most articles are all from like 2015-16 or newer.
So I just assume there are only a handful or so whales out there from 2013-14 holding a butt load of this trendy coin.Comment -

#181Is that the same poker place that had a black and yellow logo, and that pro player named Phil Helmuth(?) or something like that. But dude would wear their hat at poker tournaments.Originally posted by unlearnImagine playing BTC poker on SWC and selling 250 of them for like 2500 bucks. Only cost myself 15 mil or so
I just vaguely remember playing at some site he promoted, and I think there was some sort of scandal and site shutdown.
Anywho, I don't even like online poker, but I tried that site that I can't remember name right now, and for some reason I remember it having something with btc.
This would've been around 09-10
Or, it's totally plausible I'm confusing two different things. lolComment -

SWC is/was a Bitcoin only poker site that was started by a guy who used to run the Neverwin Poker forums.Comment -

#189Yup I thought I was panic selling at .63 but turns out to be wise selling. Never thought it would dip back to 40 cents. And I ain’t touching it. Already transferred everything back over to ETC and will just let my $$ hold there for prolly the next 2-3 years. Content with that crypto. May spread some of it over to Eth and XLM.Originally posted by BeatTheJerkIt reached 70 cents & a WHALE left the building which made others dump it too & it lost nearly 40% in the last 10 hours. I drive down Westheimer Blvd in Houston and see a dozen stores that were booming just a year ago before the pandemic hit that are now shuttered. You can't even find a Houston's restaurant in Houston. #192and if you understand stocks, you buy the dips. Might be a great time to buy Doge. Markets are manipulated to destroy the weak and undisciplined.

#195I used to play that game but now would Rather just rather invest in something long-term. Whenever I used to buy dips they dip further. Whenever I sell high, they go higher. Lost my patience playing that game. Some people are just good at it, I am not. For example, I thought I was right buying Doge at a dip at 68 yest. Next thing you know it’s in the 40s.Originally posted by Mac4Lyfeand if you understand stocks, you buy the dips. Might be a great time to buy Doge. So i just put my $$$ into ETC and ETH with $100 in Stellar and just gonna let it sit there for a couple years. See what I wake up to New Year’s Day on 2023. Was thinking of getting a financial adviser too to play it for me since I’m gonna out to sea foe a year soon.Comment -

#196Some of those store names mentioned are now owned by an investment firm called REV (Retail Ecommerce Ventures.) I had a talk awhile back talking about what happened to the old Stein Mart property, and next thing I'm looking it up on internet and finding out a lot of these old bankrupt stores are now owned and being revamped online by this REV.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeBlockbuster video was speculation, so was Kodak, Toys R Us, Compaq, Radio Shack, Circuit City, Pan Am, Tower Records, Pets.com, Polaroid, Payless, Gymboree, Pier1, Stein Mart, Borders, Dress Barn, Bebe, Sports Authority, Kmart, Sears, etc. Apple was speculation many years ago, so was Nike. The REV is started by that dude that used have ads non-stop on Youtube, named Tai Lopez, and some other dude that started a dating site named Zoosk.
When I checked the Steinmart dot com page - they now have all these high dollar items listed like, Louis Vuitton and Chanel, but still have regular stuff too, but the high dollar items made me chuckle.Comment -

When we had the Texas freeze, most computers, ATMs and card terminals were down, so you couldn't use cc's nor get cash from ATMs. Many businesses only took cash for several days. My wife hates carrying cash but I always tell her when there's a potential weather event to grab about 5Gs, stock up on can goods, toilet paper, water and gas. A long term crash and money, gold, crypto, etc. all aren't worth a damn compared to actual food, fresh water, gas, electrical power and weapons.Comment -
