What? You've never heard of DMX?
Is this more familiar? Not bashing. I like Punjabi beats

You may have your cute opinion that you can put on SBR where no one has a clue but he’s definitely an all time great. Only rapper who has had first 5 albums debut at number 1. Only artist in history to release two studio albums in one calendar year (1998) that both debuted at number 1. He also had a very unique groundbreaking style/flow, was one of the first high profile artists to address mental health (see: slippin’ as one example), and on and on and on. You’re not gonna find many hip hop heads or folks in any level of the industry to not call X one of the all time greats

He was a knock off from NWA.. His music was second rate rap garbage from the OG's.
He made a ton of money but couldn't give up the gangsta lifestyle and drug use. Died at 50. Heart gave up after that last hit off the pipe.. He liked to get wet. Next..

I know plenty of workers in an airport who have dealt with him numerous times. They said he was by far and away the most humble famous person they ever dealt with. He was respectful was always traveling with his bible. Did the guy have issues? Obviously, no need for people here to talk shit about the man. For the guys talking shit about his music, you guys are just assholes

Really?
I grew up on hip hop and now 40. You mention of debuts at number 1 is comical. Yes he was good but not all time great. His first cd was great after that nothing special.
Guy look at some of the greats work. Take example of KRS1. He never got the high cd sells but he was 100 times better than X.
Nas..Pac.. Big..BigL..Gangstar..WuTang..Buckshot..S carface..Jay. All them a cut above just mention a few before dmx makes any list

Glad you mentioned this
Hell , look at him in his eyes
Really look at that shit
Find videos or interviews
He prolly truly didn't even think he was as good
as the average person....let alone on a pedestal

100 times better??? This is all opinions. No way would I have BigL, Gangstar (Guru), Buckshot or Scarface above DMX. DMX was a huge crossover star. Probably in the same vein as Nas. Not a big as Pac, Biggie or Jayz but he was extremely popular. KRS1 lyrics are incredible, very underrated but he never had the crossover appeal.

I met this guy once, at a skating rink in fort lauderdale...my son was 1 years-old...he dropped his pacifier while we were waiting in line...No one noticed but this bald headed guy who picked it up and handed it to me without hesitation...didn't say a word...just smiled and handed it to me...he seemed familiar...this must have been 2004/5...it was bothering me all night why he looked so familiar...I noticed he kept watching me too...later on after skating I saw him outside while he was smoking a cigarette...then I realized who he was...I didn't say anything...but I realized at that moment we are all people...no matter what the world thinks about us.
