On Arizona ML today. Hopefully Madbum doesn't get beat up too badly in Coors and that Diamondback lineup mashes against Senzatela.

I have the Dbacks Over 4.5 -160 straight up and to close out 2 small parlays. Already cashed Reds Over 4.5 again! Hit Philly 5 inn which I'm going to bet every time until it loses with Nola. Dodgers 5 inn pushed.

Yes, and sometimes it's best to recognize when a the natural condition of hitting some losses, the variance, might not be stuggling at all.
Sometimes, it can be a positive. If your going to win 55% of your bets, then let's just get those 45% of losers out of the way now. It's similar to the salesman's thinking of getting through the necessary and expected "no's" to get to that yes.
Sometimes a set of losse can be more about the frame of mind than an actual issue with gambling.
Can't say for sure where Philly was mentally when we started the thread, but it was very early in the season so it couldn't be too off.
Remember my MLB chart from the beginning of last year to present?
I lost 8 bets in a row before going even lower unit wise before coming back...
Finally, to continue my daily bumping of my own words of wisdom, I once posted this...

This brings up another good teaching point for beginners and even those veterans who can get to a 55% to 60% win rate. Very few bettors realize that nearly 95% of the time you can expect to be behind. With proper money management your expectation is still to see new highs in account value only 5% of the time.
This is the reality of the mathematics of the situation. But this lesson is more psychological. If you know that this condition exits then you can better cope with it, not chase losses, and not constantly feel like you are behind and have to “make a move” to get caught up simply because your roll is less than its highest point.
Eliminate the psychological need to catch up and you are bound to make better decisions moving forward. This thinking may not add a winning play to your day, but it sure as hell may take you off of a losing play.
In sports betting, a penny saved in this fashion is most certainly a penny earned...
Good Luck guys.
Keeping an even keel mentally, and not puffing up, if you will, is the best way to get free from the hook of the book...
