    MLB "Action" (Different this year?)
I understand how in the past, action on the ML meant that they would readjust your line if a pitching change occurred.

However, we're seeing action on totals this year too, which wasn't a thing in the past.

Does that mean sportsbooks are allowing us to lock into whatever price we get, regardless of a pitching change?

Action is used in 2 ways:

If games are Action with no Listed Pitchers, which is the growing trend, then all bets are locked in at odds taken, no matter if they are Money Lines, Totals or Run Lines.

When there ARE Listed Pitchers and you choose the Action option, it means Money Lines still have action if there is a pitching change, but at the adjusted odds, while totals and run lines would have no action.

So the interpretation of "Action" depends on whether or not your book uses Listed Pitchers.

But not an option at Bookmaker or even Pinnacle starting this year. Most of my MLB bets are at Heritage, which still has the classic rules, but I do play at Bookmaker when I get a better price, accepting the risk that all bets stand.
