The right match-up for the title IMO.

Good call - no challenge for him currently. I'd say he's retired "for now", but if Chandler can start to really impress that could change...

Dana White was praying Connor won last fight so he could give him the belt.

Chandler will have value here. I was expecting more even odds. Oliveira has been on a tear but this Chandler kid could surprise and take the strap.

Khabib has stated that he doesn't want to be the main reason the LW division is stalled, so he does not mind relinquishing the belt. Maybe if he finds the motivation and gets approval from his mother, he might be hungry again to fight one more time. I think he still has 1 more left in him, but it will a worthy opponent, which is TBD at the moment.

Chandler might be new to the UFC, but he is not new to fighting. He's 34 years old and has been fighting in Bellator for 10 years. I wouldn't consider him a "kid".

Chandler lol. Dana legitimizing Bellator this way, especially if Chandler wins. Not good for business

How is this possible that you think this is the right matchup? there is no way Dustin should not be in this fight and not Chandler. And yes i am aware Dustin would rather get that big payday fighting Conor again

And why does Dustin deserve the shot? Because he won a decision over Dan Hooker(who Chandler just destroyed) and beat Conor?

Dustin got to fight for the belt 2 fights ago and he lost. Let him go play with Conor and then he can fight the winner of Charles and Chandler.

The UFC has Chandler ranked #4 in the division. Dustin(#1) is fighting Conor(#6) this summer, so they're both out. So should Oliviera(#3) fight Gaethje(#2), who just fought for the title in his last fight? Ferguson is #5 and is coming off of 2 bad losses, so he's out.

So who should be fighting for the vacant title?

Khabib will be back. Give him a few years and when the bills start to slowly eat away at his fortune.

Ferguson has a fight booked with Dariush.

Chandler has no shot. Oliveira is -165 for a reason. Dan Hooker had lost the fight before it even started as he was scared as fukk from the get go. Neither Chandlers win over Hooker nor Oliveiras win over Ferguson says much however Oliveira is just better overall.

He turned it down for the money fight against McGregor. Can't blame him business wise but he definitely should shut the fukk up and not mention any title shot for the foreseeable future.
