    Petr Yan bet on himself
Obvious illegal knee. Opens up a pig payday rematch and another chance for Yan to scan the props for his own fight.

If you want to know how it looks like when someone bets on himself in MMA please watch Yan/Sterling.

Do you mean he bet on Sterling? If he bet on himself last fight, he lost money.

Makes no sense. Yan just won the belt, you really think he would drop the belt on purpose to get better odds for the rematch? If so, he should've made sure not to categorically kick the opponent's ass before getting DQ'd. The odds on Yan for the rematch are chalkier than the initial fight even though he "lost".

How much do these UFC fighters typically make, what is their net worth? Winning a fight handidly and then getting DQed a good way to fix match while still retaining your dominance. Not saying it was fixed, but easy to do.

What makes people so sure it wasn't intentional. Has the guy not fought his entire life, does he not understand the rules at this point in his career? A championship match nonetheless, wow.

I got so ****** by that DQ, but in no way did he intentionally lose this fight. His wires crossed / miscommunication with his corner. He nearly finished the guy off a few times. You don’t inflict that much damage if you are intentionally losing. It was a title fight. Dumb to even suggest it

I don't see it happening when a belt is on the line. Many fighters have been DQ'd before and some really are intentional. I don't believe it was in this case, mistakes happen.

There is a rumor that Sterling hurled an insult about Yan's mother right before Yan kneed him in the head. That's why he snapped.

Do you have any proof of this, or is it just one of those million "X is rigged" that people claim when they are upset after the fact about a bet they lost?

Very intrigued for part 2.

This doesnt make much sense. If hes planing to intentionally lose because he obviously wants his Aljo bets to hit off quite nicely, hes going to make it look obvious?

By dominating and wanting to win it makes it look unlikely to be a fix...and thats why its a fix

Belts mean more to fans than the fighters.
Maybe this guy will be involved in some scandal in the future and people will start telling the truth. Sad.
