They are red hot with 4 straight wins against top ten teams. Two of the other top 3 teams in the league now have injury issues with Iowa missing their 2nd leading scorer and Michigan now without one of their starters on a small rotation. Michigan also has really cooled off after that Illinois game.

Does Brad Underwood look like a man who is going to lose on purpose? He's annoyed at Michigan that they played less games which gave them a easier shot of finishing in 1st in the league. He's going to use this tournament as an opportunity to win the tournament title after just coming short of winning the regular season. These conference tournaments mean something to these teams, coaches and players. Its not just all about the big dance.Comment -

I dont trust illini to win it all. they rely quite a bit on the big man and although they shoot a good 3 percentage they are a team that takes few of them. hard pressed to win in today's game not putting up the 3 ball. if a team is smart enough to get cockburn in foul trouble so he has to sit and even get him fouled out illini will be in trouble. teams have either gotten smarter over the course of the season or he's gotten tired or both. only twice this season he had 4 fouls until the last 3 games where he's had 4 fouls in each of those.Comment -

They're the best team in the country. They have completely dominated the best teams in the Big 10 ever since Ayo got his nose broken. That was the best thing to happen to this team. Gave some guys a chance to step up and show what they got (Curbelo is amazing) and gave them a chip on their shoulder and a purpose. They're deep, tough, they can shoot, unselfish passing the ball, the best closer, and well-coached. And they've been facing the toughest competition game in game out.
