i hate black ice, yrs ago i was coming back from charlotte nc around 7pm, and i did a 360 on a bridge coming back on i-85, i was lucky no car was around me, then after that i had a early hair cut a few yrs later around 9am and walking back to my car, i fell on the ice and dislocate my elbow and i drove myself like 15 miles to the hospital to get it put back in place.......

Pump the breaks don’t slam them

When you are driving on solid ice, it doesn't matter if you pump your brakes or not. You are totally dependent on the ice and your momentum. I've had several situations like that truck in the OP, where you just take your hands off the wheel and hope and pray you don't hit anything hard while the car is sliding on it's own. You are totally hopeless. Then when you finally come to a stop and get out the car, you see in your rear view another car sliding behind you barreling into your backside. Been there, done that.

Like JJ said, best advice is to stay off the roads. I just got back in the house here in Houston and I can here icy rain hitting my rooftop right now. I won't be out on the road at least until Wednesday afternoon when It'll warm up a bit but then another cold front on Friday.

During hurricane Harvey, people tried to cut through my street to avoid flooding. A few made it but as the water kept rising, people kept trying. A guy in a brand new white corvette drove down the street as several people were waving their hands trying to get him to turn around. He sees the water, guns the car and blooop, the car started floating as the water was over his hood. Him and a hot blonde gets out and she is cussing him out for being a dumb ass. That car stayed underwater in that spot for a week and a half.

Nashville Sounds is must stop especially for anyone with kids. No one actually watches much of the game because there are so many activities. The RF bar is awesome . The Sounds are always in the top 3 in minor league attendance.
