Negative... only course to shutdown in that area was Cypress golf course that was just down the street from there next to the race track and that happen over a decade ago

Oh, ok. That Cypress course was a biatch if you got in one of the grass mounds. The Navy course there has a boat in one of the lakes right? I havn't played out there in YEARS.

I loved Cypress...always in good shape and long. Those fairways were very tight and surrounded by those tall mounds the entire length that made it impossible to see the hole if you missed the fairway.

The Navy has a Destroyer replica in the center of one of the lakes. Another course that’s long and difficult if you get a tee time later in the day as the wind howls thru that area since it’s wide open and surrounded by the military runway.
