Bucs are $25-30 million under the cap, best in their division, top 10ish in league. They don't need to resign everyone, the majority of their pending free agents aren't top line starters. With the cap dropping this year due to covid there will be a lot of quality free agents and most will sign for less than what they would have in non-covid years. Unfortunately for the players the market favors the owners, at least this coming offseason.

Mahomes does something better than any other QB which is drop back deep and create space
That allows him to see pass rushers coming at him
He has an immediate huge easy target in the best tight end in the league
And if he isn't open he has the ability to throw deep to speed guys or use his legs to create a second or two to allow spped receivers to create space
But eliminate their big target and that offense will still be good because of Mahomes but not elite

Once the Chiefs pay Mahomes and he won’t be on his rookie deal they will have to cut back on other players they pay in both sides of the ball, he’ll likely win more Super Bowls since the best quarterbacks in the league are almost all on their way out, but I doubt he wins every other year.
